Since getting older my hair has been thinning so I read this book, I found it both interesting and compelling reading she understands so well the necessity of good hair and the emotional effect losing it can have. She gives a compressive appraisal of nutrients, vitamins and medication and their effects and advises how to keep your hair healthy, what practices are to be avoided with a comprehensive explanation as to why. I found the section on medical conditions which can affect hair very enlightening , and the dietary advice invaluable. I would recommend this book for every one to read whether they have poor hair or not.

Sara shares her wealth of knowledge and expertise on this subject. I found the book particularly interesting as it gives easy to follow advice for hair growth, colour and shine which also benefits the whole body. Suggestions for nutrition and general lifestyle changes are useful and presented in a clear way, as are the details of the range of supplements and products. I would highly recommend it!

Fantastic read! Packed with helpful easy to follow tips. This is a must read whether you are suffering from hair loss or you just want to keep the greatness of your glossy mane. Personally the low glycemic nutritional advice helps me manage PCOS without the need for medication.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this interesting book. It is a well written, up to date and easy to follow, useful guide for anyone interested in a healthy head of hair, as well as those with traumatic hair thinning and scalp conditions. Sara sensitively discusses the affects of emotional problems, stress, ageing, disease and health disorders along with dietary causes of inflammation in the body, and offers sensible, well researched advise on nutrition and products for improving hair, skin and body health too. This guide is a great reminder to all of us to take more care of ourselves and take time to think about what we put into our bodies, - especially if like me, a busy mum cooking for fussy children, it's easy to end up making meals that everyone in the family will eat rather than thinking about what I would really like to eat or should be eating - or NOT be eating! We get tired and stressed, drink too much coffee and eat too much sugar and wonder why we are not looking and feeling our best! Consuming this book (not literally!) focuses our poor, nutrition depleted brains on what it is important to do for ourselves, and encourages us to take action to vastly improve our hair, skin and body health. I finished reading this book feeling informed, positive and determined to follow Sara's advice. Lastly I will add for any visually challenged people out there, who like me are tired of struggling to read tiny print, I can tell you this guide is written with good print size!
