VITAMIN D
has recently become more recognised as crucial to health & hair now, but it’s something I’ve been very passionate about since 2009, I then became a member of the Vitamin D Council and Grassroots Health, researching and attending many worldwide conferences purely about vitamin D.
Therefore, I was a pioneer for use in hair loss and I contribute my great hair growth success rates down to ensuring my clients had high blood levels of vitamin D.
Until a few years ago, though, I used to think that people in the UK, mainly only need a top of Vitamin D between the months of October through to May, when the sun is at is lowest. However years of client blood testing and supplementing has lead me to realise we need it all year around! Why? Well I’ve come to my own conclusion it’s probably because of “geo- engineering”, (worldwide measures to block out the suns rays for the climate change agenda). Seriously that’s not a conspiracy theory, they’ve admitted they do it.
However, the sun is not blocked out completely so it’s worth trying to catch the rays whenever possible. Vitamin D from the sun or supplements is crucial not only for the cells in your hair follicles to optimise growth, but for every cell in your body for physical and mental health and anti-ageing. It’s also especially valuable with the resurgence of a certain virus, for optimising your immunity.

A lot of people these days are eating less red meat & dairy and these are the best food sources, because the ruminate animal e.g. lamb or cow are outside in the sun producing vitamin D, which we then consume. Not so great from those poor chickens who tend to be farmed inside, therefore, that’s not a meat I advocate. So if you don’t eat red meat a few times a week then you’ll need even more supplementation. But everyone living on the north of the northern hemisphere like the UK will need at least 4,000 i.u. (100ug) daily.
However, most supplements available are of poor quality and doses that are so low that they will not make much overall difference, moreover people are led into a false belief they are taking something that will help but it really won’t! Not only that but these also typically contain many harmful additives such as binders, fillers, colourings excipients, disintegrates and diluents. You also need to avoid povidone (PVP) cellulose and modified starches and sometimes all these detrimental additives can make up to 85% of the actual tablet. All of my supplements are pure and packed only with the highest quality nutrients at high does leading to better results.
NEW UPGRADED FORMULA!
Don’t worry it’s still exactly the same high amount of vitamin D3 4,000 which is equivalent to 100 ug.

VITAMIN K 1& K2
Remain unchanged and the K2 form”MK-7″ is still widely considered to be the most superior and has an impressive half life of 72 hours compared with 1.5 hours in the most commonly used K2. Vitamin D increases calcium, so it’s important to take Vitamin K with it to direct your calcium away from areas where it is damaging to have in excess i.e. soft tissue areas such as arteries and hair follicles into the right places i.e. hard tissue areas such as bones and hair shaft which will make them stronger!
Vitamin K1 is rarely mentioned by anyone, but I add this as it works in synergy too boost K2.

MAGNESIUM
Maybe you weren’t aware that my vitamin D always contained magnesium, but this is important as the team player that works behind the scenes to make things happen. It’s great for releasing energy from your cells and activates over 300 enzymatic reactions that run inside the body every single day and maintaining normal nerve and muscle function.
Magnesium similar to vitamin K regulates calcium and vitamin D uptake for use across bones and cells, so it stops calcium building up in hair follicles which hinder the growth of hair. Moreover, its action on neurotransmitters can help improve mood, reduce anxiety and insomnia.
Previously my vitamin D Complex contained magnesium citrate which although better than most forms and most supplements, I’ve changed it now to magnesium bis-glycinate which is considered the best form and most bioavailable i.e.very well absorbed and tolerated with very few side effects.

Magnesium Glycinate
(Official name is bisglycinate)
The most expensive form of magnesium which is bound to the amino acid glycine. It has the advantage of being absorbed through the intestinal wall, decreasing the pH level in the small intestine, further helping to increase the absorption. Glycine itself is an amino acid with a wide range of health benefits e.g. promoting healthier bones and regulating blood sugar levels which helps to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes and other chronic conditions. It’s a very relaxing amino acid and has been shown to help with sleep quality, so even though my previous vitamin D was good for that, this should be even better. Glycine’s calming properties together with calming magnesium should have an even greater effect, therefore great if you suffer from anxiety, stress or difficulty sleeping. I recommend to take 1 hour before sleep or to relieve anxiety during the day if necessary.
Most forms on the market are buffered, but you won’t know that unless you you study labels. A “buffered” form means that some other molecule – generally magnesium oxide – has been “mixed in” with the pure magnesium bisglycinate. Rest assured mine is of course not buffered.
Changing the magnesium form I’ve also managed to increase the magnesium from 97.5mg to 110mg, so together with the greater absorption should have even better results.
Note to avoid other cheaper supplements with very poorly absorbed forms such as magnesium oxide, which absorbs with a rate of less than 4% and the rest of the magnesium draws water into the intestine and then goes into the toilet in the form of diarrhoea.

ZINC
Similarly I’ve changed the Zinc citrate to Zinc bis-glycinate so all of the above about glycine applies here too.
I’m sure I don’t need to tell you about zinc, as it’s a renowned mineral for hair regrowth, for skin health and immune system. But you may not know it’s also good for pigmentation too, i.e. reversing grey hair.
I used to always check all my hair loss clients for zinc and they were always low, and as a comparison anyone without hair loss e.g. scalp clients or accompanying friends or relatives their levels were always ok. So for years now, I haven’t bothered testing and instead just ensure there’s the right dose of zinc in my M&O’s and vitamin D for long term use.

Well now I’ve mentioned the individual benefits of all the vitamins an minerals in this supplement, but it’s important to know they are all included as they all work in synergy together to produce the most bio-available vitamin D supplement and this is crucial to gain optimal levels for best hair growth, health and wellness.

NEW NAME!
The name “Complex” in a supplement, refers to containing a mix of other complimentary nutrients, but the title is generally becoming less used as people often just don’t seem to know and in this case thought it was merely vitamin D the same as any other, so clients would often buy a cheaper one not realising they are missing out on the other benefits.
So please don’t be confused by the new name, which I’ve changed from “Vitamin D Complex” to “Vitamin D Plus”, highlighting also the other minerals and vitamins. They have always been there right from conception, seven years ago, but the market and therefore population are recently becoming more aware of the need to have vitamin K2 with vitamin D. So it wasn’t obvious before unless someone took the time to read my label.
I was a pioneer in including vitamin K2 originally with my vitamin D and I am with the other nutrients too. In another seven years other brands will eventually catch up I’m sure.
